DIN ST52 & ST52.3 HYDRAULIC CYLINDER MECHANICAL TUBE

ST52 and ST52.3 Mechanical Tubing are medium carbon alloy grades, which are widely used for many general-purpose applications that require high tensile strength and toughness. The addition of chromium and molybdenum as alloying elements, combined with heat treatment, provides the combined advantage of hardness, ductility, and strength.

Hydraulic Cylinder Tube ST52 and ST52.3 with excellent machinability and weldability. Supplied seamless or welded, cold drawn & stress relieved (BK+S), with yield strength over 520 MPa. The inside diameter is honed and oiled with the tube ends capped for protection.

TYPICAL APPLICATIONS: Hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders for mining, agricultural and farm machinery, hoists, automotive and transport lifting equipment, waste disposal transport, food processing equipment, mechanical tools and equipment, compressors and earth moving equipment etc.

MACHINABILITY: Excellent machinability in the BK+S (as supplied) condition

MANUFACTURING PROCESS

Depending on the grade and type, alloy tubing is either produced per DIN 2391-2 or DIN 2393 & 2394 industry standards.  See CDS, HRS, or DOM manufacturing processes per the specific type and specification for more information.
